Obeisance to Anjaneya.
Sri Andal in Thiruppavai 12h Pasuram refers to Sri Rama as the sweet Lord of Her heart, albeit She, the damsel of Lord Krishna.That apart, Lord Sri Rama, is all deserving an adoration from His arch rival, Ravanasur himself. He in this respect wears the title, namely "satro prakyada veeryasya" and the like.
The Ramayan, which is all about Him and His nama mahima, before being recited, calls for an oral tribute to sage Valmiki, the author and to Anjaneya, Rama's ardent devotee.
That is done well by chanting the slokas like :
1. Koojantham Rama Ramethi maduram........vande Valmiki kokilam.
2. Anjana nandanam veeram........vande lanka bayanmkaram.
3. Manojavam ........Rama dhootham sirasa namami.
4. Anjaneyam adhipatalalanam.........
5. Yatra yatra Raghunatha keerthanam..........Maruthim namatha ratshaantakam.
Now let us await the "Thriveni Ramayanam" to unfold from the mellifluous mouth of Krishna Kokilam....
It is Thriveni Ramayanam in the sense, He treatises on the verses of Valmiki, Kambanattalwan and the all important Arulicheyal Pasurams.
