RAMARPANAM-19

File 19

April 25, 2012.

Jai Sri Ram.

The un-envious Rama.

Of all the Avatars of Vishnu, Rama Avatar is unique in one sense that Rama at the end of His Avatar, took with Him all the live stock of beings including the ants, gross with roots and blades of leaves associated with Ayodhya to His Nitya vibhoodhi. This is known as mAnushe Paratvam. He bestows the same in His ArchA thieumEni also to all those who with unshakable faith surrenders to Him.

In this respect, the most adorable trait called AnasUyatha, meaning devoid of Jelous or the un-envious quality of Sri Rama appease the fond in us.

Envey or Jelous is the result of the feeling of wanting in one-self as against others plenty or prosperity. Sri Rama is the one who has every thing and there is no unsatiated want in Him. So, He need to envy or Jelous not about any body or any thing. Those who come to Him also will never envy or feel Jelous about Him, as He gives them all they want just for the asking in devout sense of detachment.

That apart, the Vatsala Rama ignores all the mistakes, commission or omissions knowingly or un- knowingly done by His devotees, like the cow would eats away the dirt on calf 's body. This aspect called Dosha bhOgayatvam means all that is bad is taken as good, the same way a mother would invariably treat the misdeeds of her child.

One may ask why then Ravana and Kumbakarna were to be condemned to death.

We all know that Ravana was given ample chances to correct his deeds. HanumAn, Vibheeshana and Angada were there to his Royal Court as Ambassadors of good faith to bring sanity into his actions.  When all these failed, their end had to be ensured for the sake of victory of good over evil.

With this, it is clear that virtue triumphs and debauchery meets death by it's own.
