Part 15

Jai Sri Ram.
RAMA THE COMPASSIONATE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE, PAR EXCELLENCE.
KambanAdan in his invocation song decrees that Sri Rama, who is the incarnation of Sriman Narayana is the Creator, Sustainer and Redeemer of the entire Universe and He, the only destination for every one of our self-emancipation.
Of the many virtuous qualities explained by Narada about Sri Rama, the present one relates to His Compassion towards all the creatures, including men. He does what is good to each one, so to say, Sugreeva, having invited Vali's wrath, was in an awful state of separation from family and denial of royal opulence. Rama in an attempt to restore his legitimate rights, killed Vali that otherwise not to be. Likewise by killing Ravana, Vibeeshana was given the Lanka Kingdom.
We may wonder as to how Rama could be praise worthy of doing good to all the creatures, when He actually does good to one, annihilating another. Rama, being God, He knows the part Vali and Ravana to perform in this Avatar and at the end of their role they are despatched from this world so that all that is better do happen to them in the other world. In this sense, His rakshanam or sikshanam end in the good to each soul.
One more title that goes with Rama is the all Knowledgeable VidhvAn of no equal.
He learnt all the Vedas including Dhanurveda, Ayurveda and the like from His Royal priest, VasishtA which were later exemplified in His VanavAsA regime.
Rama, being an incarnation, we may be perplxed whether there is any need for Him to sit under a teacher to acquire these knowledge. Not really so, but only to emphasize the need for a Guru in any learning.
VidhvAn, traditionally look to mistakes in every others disposition to belittle them but Rama, as VidhvAn of no equals, will look to others mistake not with countenence but with a mind to ignore or overlook them. His greatness lies in being a Savior of the worst pApi than a noble soul.
In this sense, God also has forgetfulness, which is a desirable quality for all of us, lest with all our sins pulling down, we will find no salvation in this or any births.
