Jai Sri Ram.
Apl. 5, 2012.
Sri Ramayanam is an Epic poem sung in praise of Maryadha Purushotam Sri Ram, who is known for values in life.
To cite few examples, He is the one who
1. To fulfill His father's command, even though what is legitimately due to Him were denied, took to forest life without grudge or grief;
2. Was Truthful to His Kingdown and to His own words;
3. Was Steadfast in His deeds, like giving a second chance to Ravana to mend His ways at the verge of his own downfall etc.
Sri Valmiki Bhagavan wrote this great work containing
7 cantos and 23200 verses by the grace of, God of all creations, Brahma Himself. The same is retold in Tamil by Kambanattalwan in as many as 10368 verses.
THe numbers are important because so much has to be told to save as many Jeevatmas from this mundane world of transient pleasure and pain unto enjoying the Bliss eternal at the Lotus feet of Sri Rama.
