Annihilation of Vishvamitra.

Vishvamitra lost the battle with Khaamadhenu also his 100 sons and the huge army brought with him. Realizing that He needs better armory to fight the Cow took to vigorous penance invoking Lord Shiva.

When the Lord appeared Vishvamitra put forth his request for Dhanur Veda with all its complemental and supplemental rule books to enhance his art of fighting in Archery together with all the weapons of Gods, Ghandarvas, Yakshas and demons, which the Lord bestowed uttering, So it be.

Returning valiant he did havoc to the Ashram and the frightened in mates ran to safety, despite the pleading of Vashishta not to fear. Infuriated, He for the first time started to engage with Vishvamitra in a war as though the end-time fire and the Yama are upstaged against him.

duraacaaro hi yat muuDha tasmaat tvam na bhaviSyasi

All the aero-volleyed-missiles disappeared to insignificance in the presence of the Brahma-dhandam, which the Sage set against Vishvamitra, deciding to finish him off.

naashayaami adya te darpam shashtrasya tava gaadhija

All the shastras in the of name of Gods, Varuna, Rudra, Indra, Paashupata including Trishul and the Chakrayuda of Lord VishNu were tried by Vishvamitra but to no effect. Finally wisdom dawned on Him and came to terms with the fact:

dhik balam kSatriya balam brahma tejo balam balam.
Thus, Vashishta never provoked with far menacing armory nor resorted to cursing, yet could silence the wrath of the King by a solemn display of Brahma Tejo Balam, proving that the Fakir prowess are mightier than the Tanzanian powers.
